Why The Name?

As Nehemiah led the effort to restore the city of Jerusalem he rallied God’s people to the work of rebuilding the walls — because it was their work to do.

If their hearts weren’t in it then the work wouldn’t get done. This says a lot about their faith in God and their belief in His promises to not only deliver them, but to also prosper them in the presence of their enemies who were trying to hinder the work.

With God’s blessings, Nehemiah’s leadership and the peoples commitment the rebuilding proceeded quickly, because “…the people had a mind to work.” (Nehemiah 4:6b)

These principles are also true for today’s Church. With God’s blessings, biblical leadership and the peoples commitment — the Church can be the salt and light its called to be in the world (Matthew 5:13-16), but only if the people and leadership, have a mind to work. (Nehemiah 4:6b)

This site is dedicated to encouraging churches, ministries, organizations and individual Christians to pursue this end to the Glory of God.
